Stuart is delighted to be waving the stick with the Odyssey team again, having been Musical Director for Into the Woods and The Wiz. He has played in the band for many of Odyssey’s productions to date and is co-MD Odyssey Youth summer school shows. He is Head of Music and Performing Arts at St Clare’s, Oxford where he is currently preparing to direct, MD and produce We Will Rock You, following highly successful productions of Grease, The Comedy of Errors, Little Shop of Horrors and Bugsy Malone. Other stage MD experience has included Oliver!, BIG – The Musical and The Wizard of Oz for Brackley PAC, Rent for YOBOS, Me and My Girl, Oliver!, My Fair Lady, Carousel, Anything Goes, The Mikado, Calamity Jane and more for Bicester Choral and Operatic Society, and productions of And the World Goes Round, Gypsy, Ali Baba – The Musical and Half a Sixpence.

Stuart has conducted Brackley Jubilee Choir (since 2000) and is currently preparing the choir for its 40
th Anniversary Concert this July. Other conducting experience includes the chamber choir Consensio (2013-2015), Bicester Choral and Operatic Society (2001-2011), Brackley Male Voice Choir (1998-2002) and the Festival Singers (Aylesbury) (1993-1995). Since graduating from Royal Holloway, University of London he has studied voice with Meriel Dickinson and has sung in Britten's Albert Herring (Unicorn Opera), as well as the roles of Horace Adams (Peter Grimes), Hotel Porter (Death in Venice), Jack and Mark (The Midsummer Marriage), Nanki Poo (The Mikado), Tobias Ragg (Sweeney Todd), Chip (On the Town), Freddy (My Fair Lady), Nicely-Nicely Johnson (Guys and Dolls) and more. He is a regular member of the Oxford based choirs Choros and Encoro and often performs as a member of the Brackley Chamber Music Club.
