Andy’s background is in choral music – as an Oxford choral scholar and member of the National Youth Choir of Great Britain, he trained as a classical tenor. He also been a keen performer on stage, building up a range of acting experience (including a small part in the last episode of Inspector Morse). His theatrical credits include Nicely-Nicely Johnson (Guys and Dolls), Ariel (Return to the Forbidden Planet), The Sailor(Dido and Aeneas), Mac (42ndStreet), Jimmy (Thoroughly Modern Millie), Smee (Peter Pan – a Musical Adventure), the Wiz (The Wiz), and Hortensio (Kiss me Kate). More recently, Andy has moved behind the scenes, designing staging, managing overall theatrical production and stage managing shows with the Odyssey team. He has directed Odyssey’s productions of Copacabana, The Wiz, West Side Story, Aladdin, The Addams Family, Snoopy the Musical, Into the Woods and The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe. He has also been part of the production team for all other Odyssey shows – including Footloose, Cats, Summer Holiday,Bring It On and Loserville with Odyssey Youth.
In the “real world” Andy is a pensions actuary with KPMG, and he relishes the opportunities that Odyssey gives him to express his creative side. He would like to thank KPMG for the support they provide to Odyssey by providing him with time to dedicate to the group.
